Annual General Eating

**Annual General Eating** is an immersive dining experience developed from the earlier AI installation **Board of Dinner – XAI for Empathy**. The original project explored how Explainable AI could reveal the thoughts, preferences, and behaviours of fictional fairy-tale characters through AI-generated board meetings and menus. **Annual General Eating** brings those generative outcomes into the real world by turning them into a seven-course dinner experience. Guests are invited to taste recipes shaped by AI-simulated personalities, read character insights, listen to generated soundscapes, and reflect together on whether AI can offer new ways to understand others. Through food, conversation, projection, music, and printed materials, the project moves AI from a screen-based system into a shared sensory experience. Rather than treating AI only as a tool for productivity, **Annual General Eating** uses it as a creative medium for exploring empathy, perception, and co-being.
